We’re Investing $185,000 in County-Level Democratic Infrastructure

Missouri voters keep telling us who they are.
They voted to expand Medicaid.
They voted to raise the minimum wage.
They voted to legalize marijuana.
They voted to restore reproductive freedom.
They even voted overwhelmingly to overturn Right to Work after a massive union-led organizing effort.
And yet, in Jefferson City, Republican supermajorities keep trying to weaken, block, undermine, or overturn the policies voters approved.
'
That disconnect is exactly why AmplifyMO Actions PAC exists.
Missouri voters are not the problem. The infrastructure is the problem.
For too long, Democrats in Missouri have treated organizing like something that happens only when elections come around. A campaign launches. Volunteers get recruited. Doors get knocked. Election Day passes. Then too much of that infrastructure disappears until the next cycle.
That is not how durable power gets built.
If we want to protect the policies Missouri voters have already passed — and elect leaders who will actually defend those victories — we need year-round Democratic infrastructure at the county level: organizers, offices, voter contact tools, volunteer recruitment, candidate support, trainings, and community events.
That is what AmplifyMO Actions PAC is building.
I’m proud to announce that AmplifyMO Actions PAC is investing $185,000 in Democratic county committees across Missouri — a significant increase from the $128,000 awarded in 2024.
This year’s grants include:
St. Charles County Democratic Central Committee: $40,000
St. Louis County Democrats: $36,000
Jackson County Democratic Committee: $25,000
Clay County Democratic Central Committee: $20,000
Boone County Democratic Central Committee: $18,000
Greene County Democratic Central Committee: $18,000
Platte County Democratic Central Committee: $16,000
Cape Girardeau County Democratic Central Committee: $12,000
I also joined Elad Gross on the EladPod to talk about why these investments matter, how Missouri voters keep passing progressive policies while Republican supermajorities try to undermine them, and what it will take to build the year-round Democratic infrastructure needed to turn ballot-box victories into lasting political power.
These grants will help counties keep offices open, support organizers, contact voters, recruit volunteers, train local leaders, support candidates, and build the kind of year-round presence that cannot be created overnight.
County committees are often the closest Democratic infrastructure to voters. They know the local candidates, the precincts, the volunteers, the community events, and the places where margins can move.
But too often, we ask them to perform like professional campaigns while funding them like bake sales.
AmplifyMO Actions PAC exists to change that.
In 2024, with targeted investments in county-level infrastructure, we supported counties that helped power more than 286,000 doors knocked, 51,000 calls, and 90,000 additional voters at the polls.
In places like St. Charles and Platte Counties, Democrats improved their vote share in a red wave election year.
That does not mean one grant fixes everything. It means that when local infrastructure gets real resources, it can move.
Now AmplifyMO Actions PAC is building on that foundation with larger, more sustained support for counties that are ready to organize year-round, support candidates, and compete in the places where margins can change.
We are not chasing one race, one candidate, or one cycle.
We are building the infrastructure that makes all of them stronger.
If we want to break the Republican supermajority in Jefferson City, we have to shrink margins, flip winnable districts, recruit strong candidates, support local campaigns, protect ballot initiative victories, and make sure Democrats are present in communities year-round — not just when they need votes.
That requires sustained investment.
A one-time grant helps a county launch the work. Recurring support helps keep that work alive.
That is why we are asking people who believe in this mission to make a monthly contribution to AmplifyMO Actions PAC.
A gift of $10 or $25 a month helps build the grassroots base that makes year-round organizing possible. A gift of $100 a month helps us plan with greater confidence. And a larger investment of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or more can help fully fund the work ahead.
We know what counties need.
We know where the infrastructure gaps are.
We know local leaders are ready to do the work.
Now we need the resources to match the scale of the challenge.
AmplifyMO Actions PAC is doing something simple but necessary: ensuring local Democrats are not starting from scratch every time an election rolls around.
That is how we turn ballot-box victories into lasting political power.
That is how we protect what Missouri voters have already passed.
And that is how we build toward a state where the people elected to represent Missouri actually reflect what Missouri voters keep voting for.
Make a recurring contribution today — or make a substantial one-time donation — and help fully fund year-round Democratic infrastructure across Missouri.
